Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) submitted 83 portfolios to the Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021). This is a selection of the outputs submitted to the exercise. The portfolios articulate the research process from an originality, significance and rigour perspective. They contain a number of images, links to archived press clippings and links to underpinning published research. The ECA portfolios span three UoAs (C13: Architecture, Built Environment and Planning; D32: Art and Design – History, Practice and Theory, and D33: Music, Drama, Dance. Performing Arts, Film and Screen Studies) and demonstrate the range and depth of the School’s research expertise carried from 2014 to 2021.
