1. Submit Your Book Proposal
We use a Microsoft Forms to collate proposals.
2. Review
Edinburgh Diamond has an internal Decisions Group that meets on the second Tuesday of every month to discuss our book and journal proposals and make final decisions. We will be in touch shortly after this meeting to inform you of our decision.
3. Criteria
Edinburgh Diamond supports books in all disciplines and subject areas, providing they are created by staff or students at the University of Edinburgh. However, we will not host content that discriminates against characteristics protected by law.
Please note: the library holds the right to refuse content. We are a small team and need to ensure we grow sustainably. This means we unfortunately cannot take on every book or journal proposed to us.
4. Finalisation
If we accept your book, we will allocate an ISBN and DOIs and work with you to get everything we need - files and metadata - for your book. We will also work with you on an agreed publication date, whether you have a particular one in mind or just want to go with the (work)flow!
5. Publication!
Once you are happy with your book displayed on our site, we will formally hit the publish button and begin our promotional and discoverability activities!
